The secret I’m about to share with you has been the HARDEST to keep, and I’m so excited that I finally get to tell you all about it! As you know, I am a huge dark romance fan, specifically when it comes to mafia romance. So, I decided it was time to write some mafia romance with darker elements in between my small town projects.
I mean, I have all the time in the world, right? Ha!
However, I understand that darker themes in books aren’t for everyone, so I also decided that in order to put these new stories into the world, I would introduce a new pen name. I’ve never done this before and I’m so nervous! But, this way, you know without a shadow of a doubt what to expect when you pick up a Kristen Proby book. Small town, spicy romance. Nothing is changing!
And now, I’d love to introduce you to Natalie Kane. Natalie is basically Kristen After Dark, if you will. The same voice, with the spice amped up and edgy twists. This first series, Kings of Vegas, is mafia/organized crime, and I have to tell you, I have LOVED writing it! There will be four books in this series, all releasing in 2026.
Why did I decide to do this? Well, as an artist, I needed to try something different. It’s honestly been fun to go a little darker with my imagination. To try something new. It’s really that simple. I have to tell you, my team and I have been having so much fun with it! The branding is gorgeous, the books are sexy and frankly, I love it.
Don’t worry! Small Town Kristen Proby isn’t going anywhere. My swoony small town guys are still talking to me, and we have two whole new series coming next year! Kristen isn’t taking a break. She probably should, for her own sanity (I’m talking about myself in the third person. I really do need a vacation.), but she’s not.
